About us
Our ākonga (students) are at the centre of all we do. Our learning programmes are flexible, enabling us to respond to diverse ākonga needs. Ki te tī, ki te tā, ki te katoa – Anytime, anywhere, anyone.
As the largest school in New Zealand, Te Kura touches the lives of thousands of ākonga each year. We are in a unique position to forge new paths and develop new ways of engaging learners.
We provide personalised and authentic learning programmes through distance education from early childhood to NCEA Level 3, including overseas ākonga to young adult and adult learners. Our curriculum - Te Ara Pounamu
Te Ara Pounamu, our Te Kura curriculum puts our ākonga and their welfare at the centre of their learning, providing better personalised support, learning based in the community, flexible learning, encompassing ākonga interests, passion and potential, and the ability to learn anywhere, anyplace, anytime.
