Career pathways
We believe our people are our most valuable asset, and as a nationwide school, we are able to offer opportunities through a variety of roles and career options at Te Kura from teaching and learning support, to finance, human resources, IT, web development, graphic design, communications, policy advice and more.
Teaching
Kaiako and kaimanaaki at Te Kura engage with our ākonga online and face-to-face at huinga ako (learning advisories) and events, and they also work onsite with colleagues in our regional offices. A kaiako will work to create a professional, safe, trusting and collaborative learning environment for ākonga in their rōpū manaaki/rōpū marau in alignment with the Standards that focus on developing and maintaining the relationships needed for effective teaching and learning.
Learning Support
Learning Support kaimahi (staff) at Te Kura engage with a variety of ākonga to support them in their learning journey usually at the student's home and/or virtually. We have kaimanaaki as well as teacher aides, additional teachers and reader/writers all over New Zealand, who build meaningful relationships with the ākonga and their whānau.
Specialist and Support
Our Specialist and Support staff work to create and provide digital resources for ākonga as well as to provide support to our frontline kaimahi. We have specialised teams that provide services such as finance, human resources, web development, communications, digital services, and many more!
Regardless of location, Te Kura is committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all.
