Te Ara Hou
Te Ara Hou is Te Kura’s learning programme for full-time ākonga in Years 7–10.
This is a broad programme of learning and exploration which keeps options open for future learning pathways.
In Te Ara Hou the focus is on ākonga continuing to build and support progress across all eight learning areas of the curriculum enabling ākonga to see themselves in the wider world, to advocate with and for others, and to have a purpose and be empathetic and resilient. Ākonga are developing breadth, depth and complexity of understanding and the skills to be aware of themselves as learners while developing the ability to work with others.
